オーストラリアの女性ボーカル・ポップパンク・トリオ、Yours Trulyが、ニュー・シングル「Sour」をUNFDから配信リリースしました。これまでのポップパンク・サウンドからラウドなロックの魅力を放ち、彼/彼女らにとっての新しい時代を表現している。Yours Trulyは今回の発表に併せて、2024年8月16日にUNFDからニュー・アルバム『TOXIC!』を発表することをアナウンスしている。アグレッシブなヴォーカルとキャッチーなインストゥルメンタルを持つ今回の「Sour」は、ヴォーカルのMikaila Delgadoがサウンドの間を巧みに操ることを披露している。

Yours Truly has channeled a new era in their latest single, “Sour.” The Australian act is also sweetening the deal for fans with the announcement of their forthcoming album, TOXIC!, which will be released on August 16 via UNFD. With aggressive vocals and catchy instrumentation, “Sour” showcases vocalist Mikaila Delgado’s adeptness in maneuvering between sounds.
Beginning with an intoxicating guitar riff, the track quickly ramps up. Delgado’s voice captures the essence of sultry anger that builds into a guitar breakdown. With soft, coy whispers of “sour” peeking throughout, it elevates the feeling of being in control after being powerless. Ending with a primal scream of, “You wanna be the listener?/I really hear you,” it ties together a darker era for the band.
