このシングルについて、ギタリストのRyan Wasteは、「”High Speed Steel”は、ヘビーメタルがより速さを求めていた時代へ対する我々のリスペクトを込めた歌なんだ。クラシックなダイナミックさを表現するために、自分たちのサウンドの限界に挑戦したんだ」と話す。
