弱冠18歳、エモ/オルタナティヴ・ラップシンガーでブレイク中のglaiveが、エイドリアン・ヴィラゴメス監督によるミュージックビデオとともにニュー・シングル「the car」をリリースしました。この曲は、7月14日にInterscope Recordsからリリースされるデビュー・アルバム『i care so much that i dont care at all』からの先行シングル。
glaiveはこの楽曲について「自分の視点からではなく、浮気された友人の視点から書いた唯一の曲のひとつだ。アルバムのためにたくさんの曲を作っていた時だったので、表現すべき個人的な感情が尽きていたんだよ」。とコメントしている。「the car 」のビデオは、前アルバムのシングル「all i do is try my best」と最新の「as if」に続く最後の章となる楽曲。近日発売予定のアルバムには、今春リリースされた「im nothing thats all i am」も収録されるとのこと。
