アメリカ・ロサンゼルスを拠点に活動するパンクロック・バンド、Death Lensがニュー・アルバム『Cold World』をEpitaph Recordsからリリースしました。Militarie GunやTogether Pangeaとのツアー、そして地元でのサポートを成功させたことで知名度を上げたDeath Lens。
レコーディングでは、西海岸のサーフパンクとブリットロックのタイトで弾むようなリズムを融合させ、不屈のロックを作り上げている。冷ややかでヴァイヴに重点を置いたという見かけとは裏腹に、ライヴ・パフォーマンスはハードコアの激しさに満ちている。インディーパンクやシューゲイザーを彷彿とさせる巧みなギター・サウンドと、甘美なバッキング・ヴォーカル・ハーモニーに根ざしたDeath Lensは、TurnstileやMilitarie Gunのようなバンドのエネルギーをステージに注ぎ込み、ハイエナジーで汗びっしょりのシンガロングの忘れられない思い出のサウンドトラックを作り上げる。
