エモロック・バンド、The All-American Rejects が、ニューシングル「Eggshell Tap Dancer」をリリースした。これは、2026年2月発表予定の新アルバムからの先行トラックである。
ボーカル／ベースの Tyson Ritter はこの楽曲について、「Eggshell Tap Dancer は『足が血まみれになるまで優しさを演じる』ことについての曲だ」と語っている。さらに、「歌に登場する人物は、すでに3出口前から話を聞いてくれなくなっているかもしれない相手の周りを踊っている。だが彼はまだそこにいて、帽子からウサギを出し、自分でバルーンアニマルを作っている……。最終的には、世界から切り離された誰かへ狂おしく恋をしている人物へのラブソングだ」と説明している。

“Eggshell Tap-Dancer” is about performing tenderness until your feet bleed. The character in the song is tiptoeing around someone who probably stopped listening three exits ago, but he’s still there — pulling rabbits out of hats, making balloon animals out of his own arteries. In the end, I think it’s a love song written for someone who’s just detached from the world and madly in love with obsession.
