The Usedの最新B面曲「MEDZ」がリリースされたばかりであるが、、ヴォーカリストのBert McCrackenが、”robbietheused”としてのデビュー・シングル「Just A Little Bit.」を発表した。
2022年2月に40歳を迎えたrobbietheusedは、自身のルーツであるオルタナティヴから飛び出し、何か自分のためになることをしようと決めた。「自分への40歳の誕生日プレゼントが欲しかったんだ「だからポップ・レコードを作ることにしたんだ」とコメントしている。彼は続けて、「The Usedでも、いつもポップなものを押し出そうとしてきたが、バンドはヘヴィにするのが好きなんだ。だからこのアルバムは、The Usedのレコードには収録されないようなポップな曲を世に送り出すための僕の方法なんだ」と語っている。
Following the release of The Used’s most recent B-side track, “MEDZ,” vocalist robbietheused has launched his solo career with his debut single, “Just A Little Bit.”
After turning 40 in February 2022, robbietheused (aka Bert McCracken) decided to venture out of his alternative roots and do something for himself. “I wanted a nice 40th birthday present for myself,” he shares in a press release. “So I decided to make a pop record.”
He continues, “I’ve always tried to push for the poppy stuff for The Used records. And the band really likes to keep it heavy. So this is my way of getting all those pop songs that maybe wouldn’t make a Used record out into the world.”
