Epitaph Recordsに所属するポップパンク・バンド、Magnolia Park がDisneyとコラボしたカバー曲「I2I」を公開しました。Disneyは現在、カバー・アルバム『A Whole New Sound』を制作し、Simple Planとのコラボが話題となったばかり。今回、Magnolia Parkは、1995年の名作『A Goofy Movie』から「I2I」のカバーを公開し、注目を集めている。

Magnolia Park and the Mouse House have released their cover of “I2I” from the 1995 classic A Goofy Movie. Their cover marks the second preview of A Whole New Sound, which does not currently have a release date.
“‘I2I’ is a huge part of black history and inspired all of us as kids to make music,” Magnolia Park shares. “The message of the song of all of us coming together is something we all stand by.”
No one—and I say this with my full chest—no one could do justice to Powerline’s “I2I” better than Magnolia Park. Joshua Roberts‘ vocals not only soar but also bring a unique depth and energy to the song. The instrumentation is a masterful blend of grandeur and playfulness, perfectly capturing the spirit of the original while adding a rock ‘n’ roll twist. Magnolia Park‘s rendition of “I2I” is a triumphant homage that both honors and elevates the iconic track.
