Linkin Park (リンキン・パーク)は、2017年にリード・シンガーのChester Benningtonが悲劇的な死を遂げた後、7年間の活動休止を経て、2024年9月6日、新曲でメジャー・カムバックを果たした。バンドのメンバーであるMike Shinoda、Brad Delson、 Phoenix、Joe Hahnはこの度、Dead Saraというバンドの女性ボーカリスト、Emily Armstrong (エミリー・アームストロング)を新たなボーカリストに加え、G Flip、Illenium、ONE OK ROCKなどを手がけるソングライター/プロデューサーのColin Brittainをドラマーとして迎えていることも併せて発表している。
Mike Shinodaはこれに併せてコメントを発表している。
「エミリーやコリンと一緒に仕事をすればするほど、彼らの世界的な才能や仲間、そして私たちが創り出すものを楽しむことができたんだ。 私たちは、この新しいラインナップと、私たちが一緒に作った活気に満ちた活力に満ちた新しい音楽によって、本当に力を与えられたと感じている。 私たちは、これまで知られてきたサウンドのタッチを織り交ぜながら、新たなタッチを探求しているよ」。
11月15日にリリースされるアルバム『FROM ZERO』に先駆け、初の新曲「The Emptiness Machine」を公開。 2017年の『One More Light』以来のスタジオ・アルバムとなる本作は、全11曲で構成される予定で、トラックリストは以下の通り。

また、ロサンゼルス、ニューヨーク、ハンブルク、ロンドン、ソウル、ボゴタで開催される「FROM ZERO World Tour」の一環として、グローバルなライブストリーム公演と一連のアリーナ公演も発表された。 LPUndergroundファンクラブでは、9月6日より独占先行販売を開始し、一般販売は9月7日より開始する。
Linkin Park has made a major comeback with new music after a seven-year hiatus, following the tragic death of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
The band members, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn, have now added Emily Armstrong, from the band Dead Sara, as a co-vocalist as well as songwriter/producer Colin Brittain, who has worked with G Flip, Illenium, and One OK Rock, as their drummer.
Shinoda elaborated:
The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.
They have shared their first brand new music, titled “The Emptiness Machine,” ahead of their upcoming album FROM ZERO, which is set to release on November 15th. This will be the band’s first studio album since 2017’s One More Light and will consist of 11 songs, with the full tracklisting listed below.
They have also announced a global livestream performance and a series of upcoming arena shows as part of the From Zero World Tour in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota.
