イングランド・ブリストル出身のエモ/ポップパンク・バンド、downcast (ダウンキャスト) がエキサイティングな発表と共に戻ってきました。2024年4月にヒット・シングル「bittersweet」でシーンにカムバックしたdowncastは、EP『WTF HAPPENED』を2024年9月6日にリリースすることを発表、これに併せて先行シングル「raincheck」を配信リリースしました。
EP『WTF HAPPENED』は、人生の様々な場面で多くの人が共感できる内容となっており、このEPからの最新プレビューは、前回のビデオで紹介された90年代のレトロなストーリーを引き継ぐフレッシュなシングル「raincheck」という形で登場した。フロントマンのリアム・エドワーズはこの楽曲について、「”raincheck “は、自分自身の過ちや、大嫌いな日雇い労働から抜け出せないことへの怒りを込めたラブソングだ」と語っている。
Bristol’s emo/alt-rock quartet, downcast, are back with some exciting announcements! After making a triumphant return in April with their hit single ‘bittersweet,’ downcast are thrilled to reveal their upcoming EP and give fans another glimpse of what’s on the horizon.
The new EP, titled WTF HAPPENED—a sentiment many can resonate with at various points in life—is set for release on September 6th 2024. The latest preview from this EP comes in the form of the fresh single ‘raincheck,’ which continues the retro 90s storyline introduced in their previous video.
Frontman Liam Edwards tells us that “‘raincheck’ is a love song with a hint of angst about my own mistakes and being stuck in a day job that I hated.”
