アメリカ出身のポップロック・バンド、Beach Weatherがニュー・シングル「High In Low Places」を配信リリースし、砂漠をテーマにしたミュージックビデオを公開しました。これは、大ヒット曲「Sex, Drugs, Etc.」を収録した2023年のLP『Pineapple Sunrise』以来の新曲で、ファンから高い評価を得ている。
フロントマンのNick Santinoは、「僕たちは『High in Low Places』を黙示録的ラブソングと呼びたいんだ。世界がゆっくりと溶けていく中で、お互いの中に平和を見出すというアイデアに美しさを感じたんだ」。とコメントしている。Nickは続けて、「現代の終末西部劇のエンディング・クレジットのような、映画的なものを作りたかったんだ。サビのギターとストリングスには、そのような影響を受けたヒントがある」と話す。

Beach Weather just dropped their new single, “High In Low Places” with an accompanying desert-themed music video. This marks the group’s first release since their 2023 LP Pineapple Sunrise featuring smash-hit “Sex, Drugs, Etc.”
Frontman Nick Santino shares, “We like to call ‘High in Low Places’ our apocalyptic love song. There was beauty in the idea of finding peace in one another while the world was slowly melting.”
He continues, “We wanted to create something that felt cinematic, the closing credits of a modern end-of-times western. There are hints of those influences in the guitars and strings running through the chorus where we want to pull everyone into a world but stay hopeful that we can all rise above that insanity transpiring around us.”
